2. Growing substrate
| Horticultural potting soil | BRF | |
|---|---|---|
| Small bed (100 L) | 140 L | 15 L |
| Medium bed (200 L) | 210 L | 30 L |
| Large bed (400L) | 420 L | 60 L |
It is strongly discouraged to move the permaculture bed when it is filled with substrate. We do not recommend dragging it on the ground so as not to damage the structure and the watertightness of the bed.
It must only be moved when the bed is empty.
3. Fill the water reservoir
Now is the time to fill the water reservoir through the tube provided for this purpose. You can use mains water, rainwater, well water, etc.
How do I know if the water reservoir is full ?> The beds have 2 overflow outlets. They are located on the short sides of the structure at the lower part of the geotextile.Excess water is drained through these eyelets to maintain the correct water level.
Add root activator to stimulate the plantsTo help the plants establish well at planting time and keep them healthy, do not hesitate to water your plants once or twice a month with root activator.
Dilute one teaspoon in a 10L watering can.
