Reverse osmosis unit
To manage the water’s acidity as effectively as possible.
Using a reverse osmosis unit helps reduce water hardness and therefore makes pH easier to manage afterwards.
It is recommended if no rainwater is available or when the mains water is very hard.
General operation of the reverse osmosis unit used since April 2023

- Water inlet
- Purified water outlet
- Wastewater outlet
Components

- Main unit
- Black wastewater hose
- Blue purified water hose
- Shut-off valve
- White water inlet hose
- Garden hose adapter
- Wrench
- This part is not needed
- This part is not needed
Installation
- Push the narrower part of the garden hose adapter onto the white water inlet hose.
- Insert the white water inlet hose into the white fitting located on the right side of the system.
- Fit the shut-off valve onto the blue purified water hose. Make sure to place the “in” side on the hose side.
- At the back of the main unit, connect the blue purified water hose to the automatic shut-off valve. It must be aligned with the blue hose already in place.
- At the back of the main unit, on the left side, connect the black wastewater hose into the white flow restrictor.
- Your system is ready to use.

General operation of the reverse osmosis unit used until April 2023

1 - Tap water inlet
2 - Wastewater outlet
3 - Filtered / reverse osmosis water outlet
Components
1 - Water inlet connection part (not used)
2 - Water inlet connection part
3 - Tap (not used)
4 - Hose
5 - Wrench for tightening or loosening
6 - Reverse osmosis unit
7 - RO membrane to install
Starting up the reverse osmosis unit
- Remove the blue clip from the cartridge and the connected hose
- Open the cartridge using the wrench by unscrewing (5) (A seal is located inside)
- Insert the membrane (7)
- Place the seal around the membrane
- Close the cartridge, reconnect the hose and put the blue clip back
- Cut the hose into three parts - according to the desired lengths - to connect it to the three water fittings (black, red and blue ends)
- Remove the three end pieces
- Remove the blue clips from each end
- Connect the hoses and put the clips back
- Connect the water inlet connection part (2) to the hose connected to the red end
Reverse osmosis unit composition
To maintain good filtration capacity, the components of the reverse osmosis unit must be replaced regularly.
1 - Particle filter to be replaced every 3 to 6 months
2 - RO membrane to be replaced every 2 years
3 - Activated carbon filter to be replaced every 9 months
