Certification and quality
A note on regulations.
Nutritional quality of harvests
To determine the nutritional values of vegetables grown in a greenhouse, and in particular in aquaponics, samples of tomatoes and Swiss chard were taken and analysed. The values obtained were compared with the data recorded by ANSES. Our analysis laboratory is Eurofins Analytics France. The analysis methods used are mass spectroscopy, chromatography (liquid and gas) and enzymatic reaction.
Harvesting at the time of consumption helps preserve the optimal nutrient content.

Can your production be certified as "organic"?
In one word: no.
In accordance with European directives (Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007), you need to grow in soil for your plants to receive organic farming certification.
Soilless cultivation is therefore not certified organic, but bioponics is an adaptation of hydroponic techniques that is close to it.
In bioponics, we use only fertilizers extracted from organic elements. The main difference between organic farming and bioponics is therefore the way these elements are obtained and supplied to the plant.
In aquaponics, we use a growing technique that combines fish farming and plant cultivation.
In our solutions, there is no use of harmful plant protection products.
We use the highly nutritious waste from fish, which contains part of the nutrients needed for optimal plant growth after being transformed by nitrifying bacteria.
The GROW and Bloom bioponic fertilizers use ingredients that comply with Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 on organic farming and are compliant with Qualité-France I-302 certification; however, the production cannot be considered organic since the plants are not grown in natural soil.
Also, the vegetables and fruits you grow yourself will be fresher, tastier and more nutritious than any product bought in a shop, which has had to travel and pass through several stages before ending up on your table.
In addition, your vegetables and fruits contain no pesticides, and they are grown in an ecological system that continuously recycles water and nutrients, a great gesture for our planet.
