1. Yellow sticky traps

Installing sticky traps in the greenhouse is recommended all year round. The aim is to trap and detect flying pests. This is not a pest control method, but an observation tool that allows you to act appropriately.

📘

Instructions for use

  1. Hang the trap high up (between 1,5 and 2 m) using the attachment provided. It can be fixed to a tube of the irrigation system or to the support bar of the growing towers.
  2. Remove the protective paper from each side of the trap.
  3. Replace the traps regularly for maximum effectiveness.

❕The traps are water-resistant and biodegradable.

👍

Technical information

  • Mode of action: sticky traps trap winged insects thanks to their adhesive surface. The yellow colour of the traps attracts pests because it resembles the colour of seedlings / young plants (yellow/light green). Pests land on the surface of the sticky traps to feed, but remain trapped there.
  • Packaging: pack of 10 traps 25x10 cm
  • Dose: 1 trap covers approximately 10 m² (1 trap for the City; 2 traps for the Family)
  • Temperature conditions: no special conditions.
  • When should it be used?: all year round.
  • Product effectiveness: sticky traps are effective for 2 months in autumn-winter and 3 weeks in spring-summer. They must be replaced regularly.
  • Storage: keep in the packaging in a cool, dry place to avoid affecting quality.

4. Rapeseed oil-based solution

The rapeseed oil-based solution is used to control many pests: it has an insecticidal and acaricidal action. Once sprayed onto plants, this solution traps pests by contact. The plant-based active ingredient causes suffocation and death of the pest.

This control solution is effective as soon as the first individuals appear. It becomes less effective as pest populations increase.

📘

Instructions for use for 800 mL of preparation

  1. Pour 30 mL of solution into the sprayer
  2. Top up with 770 mL of water
  3. Shake well to homogenise the preparation.
  4. Pressurise the sprayer.
  5. Shake the sprayer throughout the application
  6. Spray the preparation on contaminated foliage (on both sides of the leaves).
  7. Apply the preparation immediately, preferably in the morning or evening, or when the sky is cloudy. The preparation cannot be kept for more than one day.

❕Do not apply in sunny weather to avoid burning the foliage.

❕Maximum use 2 times per week.

❕In aquaponics, spray directly onto the growing towers in place.

5. Black soap-based solution

The black soap-based solution is used to control many pests, especially aphids: it has an insecticidal and acaricidal action. Once sprayed onto plants, this solution traps pests by contact by damaging their cuticle. The active ingredient, potassium salt, causes suffocation and death of the pest.

This control solution is effective when several pest hotspots are present.
