Technologies used
A connected greenhouse that evolves day by day.
Our greenhouses are connected on several levels.
First, there is a social and community connection between users, contributors and designers of our solutions.
There is also a radio connection between the greenhouses and servers used to collect information and implement personalized, precise monitoring.
1. The Sigfox protocol
To retrieve data from the greenhouse, we use a technology linked to the Internet of Things.
It is the equivalent of a data SMS sent every 30 minutes.
The benefits of Sigfox are numerous:
- Low power consumption
- Worldwide coverage (and it keeps improving)
- No configuration required
As soon as your greenhouse is operating, communication with our HUB application starts.
2. The work of the algorithms
The purpose behind data collection is to let algorithms monitor your greenhouse.
This monitoring consists of checking rules at regular intervals to verify that your growing conditions are optimal.
This rules engine evolves with the experience accumulated by the Pioneers.
New rules are added as soon as it becomes possible to detect a situation.
3. Continuous evolution
Just like on day one, we remain in constant evolution, and information collection as well as your feedback are essential for the emergence of new solutions.
That is why exchanges with our teams are necessary to integrate changes that may be:
- Software-related (we modify the application, we add features)
- Hardware-related (we modify components, we add modules)
- Organizational (we modify communication channels, we add content)
The idea is to deliver a reliable and robust experience to as many people as possible, regardless of skills and regardless of location.
